1. Unlock the task bar and make it larger and move it to either side.
2. Right click on empty part of task bar & select properties. This shows you the properties of the task bar. At the bottom click on customize. This shows you the active and inactive icons.
3. Open several programs and minimize them and you will see them in the task bar.
4.  Quick launch allows you to open programs with one click.
5. You can put icons in the quick launch area by clicking on a icon on the desktop and dragging it into the quick launch area.
6. When you are finished making changes lock the taskbar.

 

MAKING FOLDERS LOOK THE SAME

 

1.Go to explore

2.Open a folder

3.Select view and select the way you always want to see the files.

4.Select tools and then folder options.

5.select the view tab

6.Click the button “apply to all folders”

 

PUTTING A SHUTDOWN BUTTON ON YOUR DESKTOP

 

1. Right click on the desk top and select new-short cut.
2. Select browse – go to the windows folder in the C drive.
3. Select system 32
4. Select shutdown.exe
5. Click on the ok button
6. Add  -s at the end and click next.
7. Change the name.
8. Click finish.
9. Right click the icon select properties and click on change icon and select an icon
